Why Is It Always Sundaze?

I started alwayssundaze—admittedly—because my TikTok got hacked. Suddenly, I had way too much time to sit with myself and think about what I actually wanted my life to look like beyond work. No structure, no plan—just space.

Around that time, I saw something about reconnecting with your childhood self. Going back to the things you loved before the noise.

So I asked myself: what did I love as a kid?

Dancing, reading, and creating.

Dancing is mostly off the table—I did it so much I needed hip surgery at 20. But creating? That never left. I was the kid making up storylines for my American Girl dolls and Barbies, and the second I got a Flip Camera, I was writing, directing, and filming my own little productions for YouTube.

I didn’t become the producer I once imagined—but in a way, I did.

alwayssundaze has become my creative outlet where I get to capture, curate, and tell stories through content. What started as a space for my thoughts has evolved into something more intentional: creating for weddings, hospitality, and elevated, experience-driven brands.

It’s about capturing the details, the feeling, the moments people don’t always see, but always remember.

alwayssundaze—because Sundays have always been my happiest daze. Whether it’s sleeping in, enjoying a farmers market, or being lazy on the couch, it's the day of the week when I feel present, fulfilled, and intentional. The kind of feeling I try to bring into everything I create.

So it’s alwayssundazee.

(When your name is Jhayce, why spell anything normal?)

Hi, I’m Jhayce

Hi, I’m Jhayce (pronounced like Jace)!

I graduated from Howard University in May 2024 and moved to New York City for my first job. It wasn’t the right fit, so I took a step back and eventually made my way to Atlanta, where I’ve been navigating the highs and lows of post-grad life and figuring out what actually feels aligned.

alwayssundaze started as a space for me to share my thoughts, feelings, and the things I love. Over time, it’s led me back to my first love: creating. If you’ve known me for a while, you know I always had a YouTube channel (shoutout totallytweenable). I used to let outside opinions get to me, but now I see how every step —from managing social media in college to working in PR full-time—has shaped how I show up creatively today.

Now, I’m building alwayssundaze into something bigger—creating content across weddings, hospitality, travel, and everything in between. I’m especially drawn to capturing elevated, detail-driven experiences and the feeling behind them.

Outside of that, I love traveling, trying new restaurants, reading, slowly decorating my apartment, and going on walks (even with my questionable hip).
